About me

Let me introduce myself

A bit about me

I was born in 1998 (which makes me 19).I enjoy the simple things in life. Being happy is a state of mind, and I don't think people should settle for less than they deserve. I always look toward the next best thing.

I like seeing other people happy. When someone else is down, it breaks my heart. I've been through more than most people my age, but hey, it's what has made me stronger. Life has thrown me challenges, and so far, I've come out on top. I realized who my real friends are, and that my family always comes first..always.

    DECE @ EPTC COLLEGE

I wanted to take DCE But somehow took DECE. I suck at drawings. But this class is full of circuit designs. I was frightened. Eventually, I learned everything and became one of the toppers in the class.

  • 2013-2015

HSC @ SIGA hr Sec School

I made a mistake joining this school according to the teachers here,IF THE TOPPER OF THE CLASS HAS UNDERSTOOD, HENCE THE WHOLE CLASS HAS UNDERSTOOD THE TOPIC. I regret joining this school.

  • 2011-2013

    SSLC @ SJSV matriculation school

VERY STRICT SCHOOL. BUT THE TEACHERS ARE AWESOME. THEY HELP YOU LEARN EVEN IF YOU ARE THE SLOW LEARNER. THEY FOCUS ON EACH AND EVERY STUDENT. I made some best friends and enjoyed each and every day.

About Me

What is your name?
Gowtham kumar

What's your education?
Diploma in electronics and communication engineering.

Why diploma? Why not B.E?
Sorry i don't see a value in engineering. So i wont do that.

What do you mean by no value?
I made a separate post for this. Read this
 why i didn't choose engineering

So what are you going to do then?
I am preparing for something which I don't want to reveal now. But it's definitely not engineering.

So you already chosen your career path?
Not exactly, I still have no idea about which job should I choose?
You can give me some of your advice. I'm always open to suggestions.

Why did you created this website?
The world is changing  into digital. Sooner or later everyone will have a website. I wanted to register it in my name while its available.

I want a website like this but I don't know how to create. Can you help me?
Sure, i encourage everyone to have a personal website. Just contact me. I will help you to create a website. ☺️

How to contact you?
Contact details are given in every page. For faster response always send an email. Because i don't use whatsapp frequently.

Thanks for visiting my site.

Why you should not choose engineering?

Before we start let me tell you the mindset of Indian parents. When you are at school. They say "study hard this marks will decide your future." When you finish schooling. They give you two choices either engineering or doctor

If you say you're not interested in both of these and want to follow your passion. That's it. They become worried about your future.

They go to any extent to make you join in any one of the course. Your relatives like an uncle, aunty, even strangers will give you advice (in other words brainwash).
Your parents will start doing emotional blackmail.

Sounds familiar? Keep reading

So what do you do? In most cases, students forced to study engineering.

Don't believe me?

Go to any engineering students and ask “What prompted you to join this college? "
And  most of their answers will be
" My parents/uncles/relatives advised/forced me to take engineering. "

So why parents do that?

Parents expect us to follow this "crowd mentality" that is "do whatever others are doing! because others are successful". There exists a fear in the minds of people regarding alternative careers.

Because they faced a lot of hard times in their life. They want you to have a good life. So they think that engineers make tons of money and have a bright future. Once you get a job and your life is set and you will soon recover all the money invested.

Most parents, don’t understand that the quality of a graduate from a Tier-3 engineering college does not match the quality of a graduate from a Tier-1 college. They think that an engineer is an engineer no matter where he graduates from.

And most of the times where do parents get their inputs from? This may surprise you, but most of the times their decision making is illogical. Parents ask someone (even a random stranger in the street), “Is CS/Civil in scope?” and the stranger’s words are as good as God’s words.

Do you know how many engineering colleges are in India?

Yes, we have more than 10,000 engineering colleges.

15,00,000 engineering graduates passed out each year.

But 80% of them are unemployable

Do you know Why?

There is a huge gap in the current education system and the industrial needs. The syllabus is outdated.

Lack of knowledge. Very few engineers actually know anything about their field.

But to be honest IT professionals are earning average 8lakhs per annum.

So nowadays even a civil engineer applies for IT jobs.

so if you get an IT job you're life is settled right?

No, it's not.

There is no such thing as “settling” in IT jobs. There is no job security – because a company can lay off its employees anytime.

one day you'll be fired. The reason is very simple. Once you got enough experience you expect some hike in salary. But there are millions of engineers are ready to work for the lesser salary.

Government jobs are safe. But highly educated persons started applying for a job which required only primary school education and knowing how to ride a bicycle,

Students who studied 4 years of engineering started applying for peon jobs.

I leave the decision to you.
